Frustrating summer for DHI with injuries
June 2009
DHI suffered a frustrating summer with Jo falling from an older horse, landing ok and then getting trodden on which resulted in her ankle being snapped in two and totally dislocated. The horse obviously needs an eyesight test and glasses! 3 months later, pins, plates and screws holding everything back together again, Jo is back on board but feeling a little weak and looking forward to being able to ride with full esteem again in the very near future.
August 2009
In August Andrew was kicked badly by a 3yo who took a dislike to our newly installed horse walker! After being whisked to hospital by our paramedic life savers he escaped serious injury but was left with an aggressive haematoma on the left leg. Subsequently this needed an emergency operation and Andrew is now left with a secondary infectious condition in his knee and ankle. A lot of painkillers are slowly getting the inflammation under control!

Business is busy and our injuries are now easing. Onwards and Forwards at Last!
