Andrew Graham's Biography
It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden death of Andrew Graham from a heart attack. Through his company DHI, Andrew supplied many top sport horses and will be remembered for his passion for all things Equestrian and his desire to raise the standard of competitive horsemanship across all discipline's and levels.
Over recent years Andrew had found great happiness with his life and business partner Jo, whom he married 5 years ago. Jo is naturally devastated by the loss of Andrew. "Andrew had so many plans for the future and I wish to see them fulfilled", Jo has vowed to continue his work through DHI.
Despite a period working in floristry horses held Andrew's interest and during his 20's he decided to follow his instincts and set up his own livery and dealing yard. Prior to meeting Ian Andrew had begun building a network of contacts in Europe primarily in Germany and Holland and was actively importing general competition horses.
Although DHI was originally set up to supply Dressage horses Andrew is delighted by recent diversification in supplying top quality horses for any discipline.
Andrew finds his excitement in spotting talent early on and watching partnerships created by his and Ian's combined skills grow into wining combinations. In his own words, "It's the quality, temperament and trainability of the modern warmblood that makes the new sport horse".
Nothing gives Andrew more satisfaction than reading about successful partnerships that have been created by DHI which include; Marie Eilberg (DHI Manitou,Top Score and Don Perry),Michael Eilberg (Torino) Henry Boswell (DHI Peppino, Feaderlite and Winddancer), Becky Moody (Kwadraat), Kate Elliot (DHI Nastros and DHI Special Unique), Sara Payne (Ushipower), Eric Thielgaard (Monsanto and DHI White Rebel) Lorna Edmunds (Manitu), Natalie Allen/Portia Manning (DHI Langar), (Giggolo), Alice Thomson (Diamond Rubin ) Mary Sharman (Wohler Van Het Gerenhof) Holly and Amy Woodhead (Languard 4) Melissa Chapman (DHI Work of Art).
